Alltcreich Cottage is beside the sea, just a short drive north of Craignure and set back from the road. It's a stunning, private setting where you'll have a piece of coastline all to yourself, only interrupted by a passing otter or sea bird. The mature trees around the cottage help to nestle the house into the landscape and the lack of other dwellings in the vicinity make this a real Hebridean retreat.
Nearest village: Craignure (2 miles)

Things to Do
It will be hard to drag yourself away from this lovely property with the garden and coastline to explore from the doorstep. Take up a post on a rocky outcrop with a pair of binoculars, get out some watercolours, or set up your tripod to try catch some of the wildlife or scenery.
If you do manage to venture out, there is a forestry walk at Scallastle just outside Craignure, and for hill walkers, three miles south of Craignure is Dun Da Ghaoithe, Mull's second highest mountain. There is also an easy coastal walk from Garmony to Fishnish, which is a short drive up the coast.
The Isle of Mull Swimming Pool in Craignure is open to the public. The pool has excellent views and there is a spa, sauna, steam room and outdoor hot tub to be enjoyed as well as a small gym. The Craignure Golf Course is within walking distance (half a mile), and Duart Castle is just a 10 minute drive away. The castle is a visitor attraction that holds events throughout the year and has its own tearoom too where lunches, cakes, teas and coffees are served. In Craignure there are a few places for lunch and evening meals including the village pub (The Craignure Inn), Arlene's coffee shop and Pennygate Lodge (evening meals).
