There is a veranda to the front – the perfect place to enjoy the view and watch the horses from, who often occupy the field in front.
The front door opens into the open plan living space with comfortable seating, freesat television and DVD player, fitted kitchen and dining area. The wood lining of the cabin and plentiful windows make this a cosy but light-filled living space in which to relax. The double bedroom leads off from this room, as does the bathroom with shower cubicle, wash basin and w.c, and second bedroom with two small single beds.
Being just a short drive or 30-minute walk from Tobermory's harbour, this self-catering property is ideal for those wanting the amenities of the village, coupled with a rural, countryside location. The lodge owners who live and work on the croft will make you feel welcome, as will the many animals they look after here, including goats, ducks, sheep and highland cows.
There are fantastic opportunities for woodland and coastal walks in Aros Park, which is situated just next door to the croft. This is a piece of land developed by the Forestry Commission, with footpaths leading to waterfalls and adventure play areas. The walks also provide easy access to the sea, too.
Those who haven't visited Mull before will be able to discover the delights of Tobermory, with its beautiful harbour and lovely range of boutique shops showcasing local produce, artwork and crafts, as well as some great places to eat and drink. The village of Dervaig is just seven miles away and just a few miles further on from that are the stunning white sands of Calgary Bay.
