Tobermory Explore the area, things to do and more

For an authentic taste of island croft life, with the charm and attractions of Tobermory within walking distance, Eas Lodge offers the best of both worlds in a welcoming log cabin setting.

Eas Lodge sits on a working croft, next to Fors Lodge, against a rocky outcrop with views towards the Sound of Mull. Approached via a tree lined driveway, with mature trees on one side, this is a peaceful location, with parking available directly outside the lodge. There is a veranda to the front – the perfect place to enjoy the view and watch the horses from, who often occupy the field in front. You’ll also have plenty of visiting wildlife and birdlife to see.

The front door opens into the open plan living space with comfortable seating, smart television, fitted kitchen and dining area. The wood lining of the cabin and plentiful windows make this a cosy but light-filled living space in which to relax. The double bedroom leads off from this room, as does the bathroom with shower cubicle, wash basin and W.C. and the second bedroom with two small single beds.

Being just a short drive or 30-minute walk from Tobermory's harbour, this self-catering property is ideal for those wanting the amenities of the town, coupled with a rural, countryside location. The lodge owners who live and work on the croft will make you feel welcome, as will the many animals they look after here, including goats, ducks, sheep and Highland cows.

There are fantastic opportunities for woodland and coastal walks in Aros Park, which is situated just next door to the croft. Here, footpaths navigate waterfalls trails, circuit the lochan, lead down to the sea and climb into the forest. There are several adventure play areas for younger members of the party, and if the weather allows, picnic spots too!

Those who haven't visited Mull before will be able to discover the delights of Tobermory, with its beautiful harbour and lovely range of boutique shops showcasing local produce, artwork and crafts, as well as some great places to eat and drink. The village of Dervaig is just seven miles away and just a few miles further on from that are the stunning white sands of Calgary Bay.

Eas Lodge offers an excellent base from which to discover all corners of Mull, with the Ross of Mull and Iona easily visited with a day trip, as well as embarking on tours from the harbour to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. So whether you’d like to find your sea legs, or spend the week on terra firma, Eas Lodge promises a base from which to soak up Mull’s coastal scenery, wonderful wildlife and beautiful natural features aplenty.
