With binoculars, telescopes, its own observatory and pond, not forgetting the stunning sea views too, Daisy Cottage makes a fantastic base for wildlife lovers. Come rain or shine, this cottage makes it easy to get close to nature and experience fantastic sightings, promising you an exceptional wildlife experience on the beautiful Isle of Mull.
Daisy Cottage is situated on the coast at Fishnish bay, alongside Clover Cottage, and is presented to the highest of standards. This modern building makes for a really comfortable base for a family holiday on Mull. It has some great design features to make your stay a memorable one.
The ground floor of the cottage consists of a spacious, open plan kitchen, dining and living area with lots of natural light flowing in from the large floor to ceiling windows. Doors open directly from here out onto the garden patio, where there is outdoor seating provided overlooking the pond, with the mountains rising up behind.
There is a twin and double bedroom and bathroom (with w.c, basin and large walk in shower) also on the ground floor. Upstairs is the spacious master double bedroom, with stunning sea views to wake up to and a private bathroom. Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.
Arriving at Corry Meadows, there is a large parking area. The well-tended garden leads, via a path, to the undercover decking area, which brings you to the cottage entrance. Also situated off this area of decking are the superb wildlife observatory and craft lab, which families and wildlife enthusiasts will love. The owner’s accommodation lies between the two holiday cottages, but is not directly attached.
These facilities are provided exclusively for guests’ use and are an excellent addition to your holiday. The comfortably furnished observatory has panoramic views over the bay and wooded headland, where white tailed eagles often perch. Telescopes and binoculars are provided, along with an excellent range of books and wall charts. There is also a display monitor linked to a series of cameras set up to allow closer viewing of local wildlife.
The craft lab has a range of excellent microscopes and equipment, along with some excellent books and posters to help you get the most out of the equipment. A great range of craft activities are also provided, which, when combined with the books on offer, can be used to produce some very nice nature inspired art.
There are some wonderful walks from the doorstep of this holiday cottage. Just across the road from the cottage, there is a path along the pebble shoreline that makes its way around Fishnish bay, to a headland where a network of forestry walks connect.
By car, the village of Salen is 10 minutes’ journey north and Craignure lies 15 minutes to the south. Both have a range of eateries, shopping, fuel and a public house. This is a very popular cottage with guests returning year on year to soak up its stunning setting, sea views and wonderful wildlife offering.
