Situated within the village of Bunessan in the Isle of Mull’s south west, Dragonsfly Rest occupies a lovely elevated position that affords excellent sea views over Loch na Lathaich. Sleeping up to eight guests and welcoming pets, this spacious holiday cottage sits within an enclosed garden.
Entering the property there is a roomy kitchen with all the modern appliances and storage space you need for a self-catering break. Also on the ground floor this level is a large double bedroom (king sized bed), with delightful sea views and a family bathroom adjacent.
The large living room has comfortable seating and lots of natural light, thanks to the large windows looking out over the garden and sea. This is the hub of the house and a delightful, warm space to relax in at the end of a day's adventures. Just put your feet up and take in the incredible view! On sunnier days, the outdoor deck, which is accessed from the living room, offers a lovely space to relax with a glass of wine and stunning sea view.
A set of double glass doors lead from the living area to the well furnished separate dining room, with a useful map of Mull to help you plan your next excursion. Heading upstairs there is a spacious landing with sitting area, ideal for enjoying a book and moment of quiet. From this landing you access the double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, which is a generous sized room with great sea views.
To the other side of the landing are the two twin bedrooms, both well furnished with quality bedding and storage. One twin has views to the rear of the house and the other gets a lovely sea view to the front. A large family bathroom is also located upstairs.
Guests staying at Dragonsfly Rest will appreciate the high standard throughout. The contemporary furnishings and accents of colour, alongside some thoughtful finishing touches, make this a really welcoming family home. Guests have the added convenience of being able to walk down into the village and collect some provisions, or enjoy a meal or drink at the local inn.
The surrounding area offers a great range of walking routes, and opportunities a plenty, to see the prolific wildlife Mull has to offer. For trips out, you can take a boat trip to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, or spend a day on Iona and visit the Abbey or head to one of its more remote beaches, before enjoying lunch in one of the hotels or tearooms on the island.

Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob; fridge freezer (3 drawers in the freezer); dishwasher; microwave; kettle; toaster; cafetiere and a washing machine.
Bedrooms: One king sized double on the ground floor. One standard sized double on the first floor and two twin bedrooms.
Bathrooms: Family bathroom on the ground floor with shower unit, hand basin and w.c. The double on the first floor has an en-suite shower room with basin and w.c. and there is a further bathroom on the first floor with a bath, shower, basin and w.c.
Garden: The garden is an enclosed space with gate to access the house and is mainly lawn. There is a deck with seating for eight, looking out over lovely sea views.
Heating: A wood burner heats the house (alongside solar panels) and and guests can then adjust the heat via the temperature controls on the radiators and thermostat. Also an immersion heater for hot water. Heated towel rails in the bathrooms.
Wood Burning Stove: Wood burning stove in the living area. There is a supply of fuel for the stove at the house for guests to use.
Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen and towels provided for guests.
