Carnanamish is a modern self-catering holiday house in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. The house has a fantastic setting above the harbour with superb views over Calve island and the Sound of Mull. To make the most of this setting, Carnanamish features large windows in the end elevation, allowing you to enjoy the views from the house.

The property is timber clad and is highly insulated, using a combination of solar gain and air exchange heating to provide a warm and comfortable house with strong eco credentials too. Entering the property there is a spacious hall with a utility room and staircase leading off it. Another door leads to the ground floor corridor, where you’ll find all the bedrooms.

The master double bedroom benefits from large floor to ceiling windows with double doors opening to the side garden and decking. This is a spacious room with ample storage for personal belongings. Quality bedding and furnishings ensure a good night's sleep, even during the light Hebridean summer nights.

A bathroom with a large walk in shower, w.c. and basin is situated next to the master double bedroom. There are another two double bedrooms and a twin room on the ground floor. All are spacious rooms offering the same high standard of finish with hotel style, contemporary decor. A second separate w.c. and basin is also located on the ground floor.

On the upper floor of Carnanamish, there is a landing, bathroom and the main open plan living area. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and w.c. The main open plan kitchen, dining and living area is a fantastic space, finished in a bright, minimalist style, making the most of the natural light and drawing attention to the superb views. There are two sets of double doors, both of which can be opened out to separate balconies - a great place for a morning coffee.

The stylish kitchen with a summer blue wall is well equipped for self-catering purposes with built in appliances. The central island unit houses the cooker and is a great workspace for preparing meals and drinks, with a couple of breakfast stools here too.

The dining table is set on the same floor level as the kitchen and quality crockery and tableware is provided. A set of three wide steps leads down to the main sitting area, which has a wood burner and a selection of games, books and DVDs. The most exceptional feature, however, is the huge window that runs from floor level and perfectly frames the stunning sea view over Tobermory harbour and Calve island.

From the house you can walk to Tobermory’s main street in five minutes, where you can enjoy the many shops and eateries that line this picturesque harbour. A path can also be followed along the coast from the house leading over the golf course and to the lighthouse Rubha nan Gall.

Boat trips to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles also depart from the harbour as well as the whale watching trips. There are public transport links to other areas of the island. 30 minutes to the west is Calgary beach. Considered one of Mull’s finest, this beach is home to a broad expanse of fine white sand backed by dunes and machair. Loch na Keal and the west coast can be reached in around 30 minutes by car and offer super wildlife sightings, walking and cycling.

Bathrooms: There are two family bathrooms. The bathroom on the ground floor has a large walk in shower, basin and w.c. There is a separate cloakroom on this floor too with basin and w.c. The bathroom on the top floor has a bath with shower over, basin and w.c.

Garden and Parking: There is parking space for two or three cars in the driveway and the garden is a mixture of lawn, planted borders and gravelled areas. Outdoor table and chairs.

Heating: The house is 'super insulated' and is heated via solar gain and the wood stove, with an air exchange heat pump system. There are also electric towel radiators in the bathrooms.

Wood Burning Stove: There is wood burning stove in the living room. Wood is provided in the log store beside the house.

Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen and towels are provided.
