For island-hoppers, beach-goers and those looking to soak up the sight, sound and taste of the sea, Cherry Tree Lodge offers the perfect escape. Sitting on the hillside overlooking the bay at Loch na Lathaich, the lodge offers beautiful views, a bubbling hot tub and easy access to the Ross of Mull’s stunning coastline, beaches and boat trips, from a convenient base in the village of Bunessan.
The main living, cooking and dining space at Cherry Tree Lodge has a light-filled, open-plan layout, with triple aspect windows ensuring you feel connected to the island landscapes around you.
A cosy wood burning stove offers a cosy focal point to the living area, with a comfortable sofa, armchair and television, if you can peel your eyes away from the windows. Beyond, a wee dining table for two beckons for a romantic seafood dinner, while the breakfast bar will prove a winner for relaxed coffee in the morning. However you choose to self-cater, it will be effortless to prepare thanks to the contemporary kitchen, complete with quality appliances.
Moving through the lodge, the master suite offers a peaceful sanctuary to retreat to. The spacious bedroom promises a sumptuous king-sized bed, with the luxury of a television that rises from the footboard – perfect for a leisurely lie in. Custom cabinetry offers elegantly made storage space, with a dressing table by the window too.
The en-suite leads from the bedroom and offers another wonderfully indulgent space, with a large bath tub for a restorative soak, basin, WC and shower, along with heated towel rail.
To the front of Cherry Tree Lodge is a purpose-built paved patio complete with a roof for all weathers, inviting you to make the most of the long Hebridean summer days. A hot tub beckons on this patio, the perfect spot for an indulgent soak as the sun sets over the sea on the horizon, and deer descend from the surrounding hills at dusk.
Conveniently located in the village of Bunessan, there's a wee village shop and cosy pub in walking distance, and a filling station just a few miles out the village. Beaches galore lie within easy reach at Uisken, Ardalanish, Fidden and Knockvologan, and the ferry to Iona and boat trips to Staffa depart a short drive away in Fionnphort.
