This is the most perfect quiet spot. The lodge is near a couple of farmhouses but you can't see or hear the others near by which makes this place so special. It is in the middle of a working farm (meaning farmy things, like sheep poo and mud). For us with our reactive dog, it was the perfect spot, we spent our entire holiday paddling in the loch and sitting in the garden without seeing another soul. Couldn't have asked for better.
Tips: the hotel in bunessan does great fish and chips. If you have a dog, bring a tick-unpick. The honesty box eggs are awesome.

We had the most wonderful experience staying at the lodge. It’s tucked away below the farm in the most stunning spot at the edge of the loch. The lodge itself was so clean and comfortable and well kitted out, with owner Donald near by to help with anything. A fairly easy walk to the village inn and the most stunning beaches a short hike away. Missing it already!

We had a great stay in this beautiful spot, the lodge had everything you could ask for. Only slight issue was if you decided to walk to the village for dinner, the area leaving the cottage was so muddy, you had to carry a spare pair of shoes to change into once you got there. All in all, a lovely island & we made some fantastic memories.

Had the most fabulous time at the lodge. It was cosy and had everything you might need
The views are amazing and sitting down by the Loch just soaking it all in at the end of the day. Been to Mull before but the beaches nearby are the best I've seen. Will define going again

The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed, the location of the cabin is be far the cherry on the cake. We enjoyed wild dipping by the fire in tranquility. We would not hesitate to return.

Well appointed, comfortable lodge which is well located for all of the beautiful beaches on the Ross of Mull and only 10 away from the ferry to Iona. The smart TV and WiFi were a bonus and I will return to Assapol Lodge without hesitation. If you are looking for somewhere beautiful and peaceful to recharge t(e batteries, this is it.

A fabulous and secluded property, very comfortable and well equipped.
Perfect for two adults and great for pets.
A nice walk into the village of Bunessan, and easy access to Fionnphort and the ferry for Iona, which is a must.
Turn right from lodge and follow track to the beautiful Kilvickeon beach , no need to venture any further!
An ideal getaway spot.

Fabulous cosy cabin on Loch Assapol. Surprisingly private, with steep garden down to lake, perfect for morning swims. The cabin is simple and comfortable, warm and dry. It’s south facing and easy to get to, though the turning to Scoor isn’t signposted. So quiet and peaceful. Nearest beach about a mile and a bit. Easy access for Iona. Best shop at Pennyghael.

Editor's Note: We have a sign ordered, which will be installed at the road end as soon as possible, to help with directions to the cottage (we send a map and written directions too).
