Things to Do

The network of walking trails that cover Aros Park are accessible from the doorstep. There are narrow tracks following woodland streams, a wider gravel track around a lochan and an excellent coastal path to Tobermory. Children will be excited by the trails and play areas dotted around the park. There is a great grassy area with barbecues and picnic benches too for warmer days.

Tobermory has lots of great places to eat; a range of boutique gift shops and galleries; an aquarium; museum and arts centre. There are daily boat trips and wildlife tours on offer to those wanting to learn more about the wildlife the island has to offer and there's even a golf course out the edge of the town, with great views.

Further afield, Calgary beach can be reached in around 35 minutes by car with some great places to stop on the way including Sgriob-ruadh farm for lunch and some local produce, the village of Dervaig with the oldest inn on the island, and Calgary Arts gallery and tearoom.
