Prairie Cottage is situated at Aros on the eastern coast of the island, just a fifteen minute drive from Tobermory and a ten minute walk from the sea. Salen is the closest village, being only two miles from the house. The village has a well stocked Spar shop, petrol station and several coffee shops.

Things to Do
Peaceful, picturesque and perfectly placed for exploring the entire island, you’ll appreciate the location at Aros as much as the cottage itself. The coastline where the River Aros meets the Sound of Mull, 10 minutes from the cottage door, is lovely, and there is a nice circular walk along the coast and up to the ruins of Aros Castle for guests to explore.
Being only a 15-minute drive from Tobermory, this is a great location if you want to make most of the island capital's facilities. Boat trips leave regularly from the harbour and there is a distillery, museum and arts centre to visit too. Holidaymakers can enjoy strolling along the picture-postcard harbour front, exploring the array of gift shops and eateries on offer.
Prairie Cottage is also in a great location for those wanting to make the most of the island's mountainous centre and beautiful scenery on the west coast, as a road from Salen gives quick access to more remote and beautiful parts of the island, well known for wildlife, such as Loch na Keal, Gribun and the Isle of Ulva.
