Excellent location, very well equipped and everything was as promised. Weather was awful so appreciated the wood burner and games room.
Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning and hope for better weather.

    Loved Snipe Cottage. Amazing views.
Cleanliness in some areas needs addressing. The downstairs shower did not work properly and one of the lamps in the twin room didn't work.
The lights on the bathroom mirrors were taped up.
Over all though loved our stay at Snipe and will be returning.

Very well equipped house in a lovely location. Had a great week. We were 3 couples, so appreciated 3 bathrooms, but wondered if the locked door downstairs was another bedroom? This would have been handy for the downstairs bathroom. Echo previous comments regarding fabrication, some blinds broken in bedrooms, flaking plaster and taping in corners of bedrooms, taped mirror light in both upstairs bathrooms, en suite bathroom mould round shower, sink not draining properly. Nice house but needs some TLC

Snipe cottage is a lovely base to explore the Isle of Mull. The cottage is well designed and comfortable, furnished with all we needed for our week. We found the place in good order, including the game room. Perhaps previous reviews prompted some maintenance work which we appreciated. The views are truly amazing. I would love to stay at Snipe cottage on a return trip!

A lovelly house in a beautiful location, but internal maintenance very poor.various items did not work . Upstairs shower cubicle was grubby door difficult to close One ring on hob did not work, cooker fan very dirty, and not to have a working tumble dryer as previously stated on original information is a must for a noted wet area , surely it is does not take months to have one repaired or replaced . All in all very disappointing.

Editor's Note: Thank you for your feedback, we are very sorry you didn't find the house to meet expectations and have discussed your feedback with the owners. A tumble dryer is now available for guests to use at the house.

Generally, a beautiful, a well designed and well appointed house in a stunning location. The views are amazing.
The House sign is very difficult to spot. Some of the blinds in the bedroom were broken when we arrived and the shower door in the ensuite was very difficult to close.
Would recommend that there are a few more table lamps and side tables downstairs. Otherwise, fine. We struggled to find places to eat out close by. Hen House was not open all week, and other places were fully booked. Games room not very pleasant.
If the rental is that high then everything needs to be spot on.

Great cottage. We stayed with our daughter, son in law and grandkids, 12 and 7. Negative comments below are minor niggles, except for the tumble drier, which doesn't work well. Games room a big hit with the kids and adults. There is table tennis too. Kids also loved the swing "buoy" above the house. Wouldn't hesitate to come back for another family holiday.

Overall a lovely base to see the Island and surrounding area.
We paid the high rental fee as a treat for our 25th wedding anniversary but now visited, this was very expensive for what it was.
Disappointed in wine/biscuits as a welcome (milk/bread would have been nice given no local shop)
Cottage needed appointing to a much higher spec for the price and bathroom fan not working. Games room not as advertised & was damp and unpleasant - more of a dumping ground really so we did not use (a shame as we had a day of rain & this would have been a great spaced if more highly maintained) .

Isle if Mull Cottages staff were very helpful. However, the owners of the house were misleading in the information provided pre-booking. The dryer was broken (had been for a while) as was the TV. Normally these this things are not the most important. However with bad weather & 3 kids, the dryer and TV are very handy. Luckily good weather meant we managed to walk most days. It’s a misrepresentation & a high rental fee when the accommodation does not in fact have a working dryer or TV as advertised that is wrong. The broken dryer was known long before our stay & no effort was made to reduce cost

Editor's Note: The air-dryer provided in the garage and the television are working (it was just the sky box that needed attention - now fixed) and there are more clothes airers and pegs/clothes bag provided for guests to

Fantastic house in an amazing location. Comfortable, spacious, and the pool table went down very well with our daughter. The views are amazing, as are the stars at night. We’ve booked for next July!

WONDERFUL stay. Very comfortable, clean, spacious and practically designed and thought of in so many ways. Great location and Isle of Mull Cottages were fab in communication too.

Very comfortable house with mesmerising views. The weather was perfect for the time of year, clear blue skies the whole week and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Would certainly recommend Snipe Cottage as a place for anyone wishing to escape from everything.

Warm and comfortable. Well appointed. Thoroughly recommend spending time close to the house and exploring locally. There was never a dull minute in either of our recent stays here. Very quiet and peaceful.

Great house. Fabulous views over towards Ulva and down to Benn More. Loved the games room. Sign for the house is so hard to see from the road. If you are going then get out of the car at the first turning after the Hen House and read all the signs as Snipe sign difficult to see. You won’t be disappointed if you book this cottage.

Great house with a spectacular view of Ulva, in an excellent location on the island. Loved the short walk down to the shoreline and watching the ever changing scenery from the living room. Our 5th visit to Mull and we love the island more every time!

The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Thought the restrictions re us providing linen not appropriate even allowing for Covid 19 as we found on arrival some of the items were provided so can't see the logic behind the need for us to bring linen. The welcome basket of a bottle of wine and a packet of shortbread biscuits a disappointment. Allowing for the remote location and lack of shops, and a possible late arrival, a basic supply of foodstuffs for overnight would be an essential for most property owners to provide. Most cafes/restaurants nearby were closed so difficult to visit.

Excellent cottage. The large windows provided stunning views in all weathers. The cottage was warm and bright throughout and in a great location for trips to Staffa and exploring Ulva. Great take away food at the Hen House literally at the bottom of the garden and Ballygown restaurant a mile down the road. The only down side was the sign to the cottage is hopeless- sign and house just not visible from the road and we drove several miles past it. Otherwise great house

Just to say we had a fantastic week at Snipe. The views were stunning as we're the sunrises and sunsets and the peace and quiet. Only one day's rain so managed to see most of the island. Fenced garden was a bonus, keeping the dogs in and sheep out. The cottage is well equipped and well laid out. Will definitely be back.

A fabulous house, - bright, warm, welcoming, well equipped and with wonderful views across Loch Tuath towards Ulva and Gometra. The welcome gifts - human and doggy - were a lovely thought and much appreciated. We had a lovely week here. Sadly, the weather was against us which meant that we weren’t able to do the trips we had planned. However, we managed to do plenty of walking and the heavy rains meant that the waterfalls were wonderful!!! When we weren’t out and about, Snipe Cottage proved to be an ideal place to relax and appreciate the peace and quiet of the Island. The games room was an added bonus. The beauty of the house is its location but it is a little remote - twenty minutes drive to the nearest village shop in Dervaig. We ate out well, particularly at the Cafe Fish in Tobermory, The Tobermory Hotel, the Boat House on Ulva (lovely home made bread) and the Bellachroy Hotel in Dervaig. I would highly recommend Snipe Cottage. One (hopefully constructive) criticism, would be that the house sign is not very clear, especially on arrival on a grey and murky evening!

Really lovely property in wonderful surroundings. Impeccably furnished and set up with all we could wish for. A clearer idea of distances in times and miles to places of interest and shopping would be helpful to more elderly visitors. Not a problem to us. The sign for Snipe on the road side could be much clearer for late arrivals. A pleasant stay apart for high winds and rain. Jigsaws were a life saver. Nicholas Gale, and friends.
