Located in an enviable position that affords the most wonderful of views of Tobermory harbour and Calve island, Shuna Apartment offers quality accommodation for two people in the picture-postcard town of Tobermory.

The apartment is located on the first floor of Ulva House (also see Columba Apartment). There is a private entrance to the apartment and a spacious hall inside, with plenty of storage space for belongings. Stairs then lead up to a landing area, which leads onto all other rooms.

In the living area there is comfortable seating, carefully placed to make the most of the splendid views over the harbour and painted buildings of Tobermory’s waterfront. The living area has a contemporary style and the dual aspect windows bring in lots of natural light. There are a range of books and a music system, television and DVD player. A dining table for two provides an ideal spot for meals.

The apartment has a well-equipped, fitted kitchen with good range of cookware and crockery. The view from the kitchen sink is so wonderful you’ll almost be trying to find reasons to wash up!

From the hall, a couple of steps lead to the master ensuite double bedroom. The room is beautifully furnished in an opulent oriental style. The clever mix of furniture and finishing touches gives this room a grand, luxurious feel. There are sea views over the Sound of Mull, and a very comfortable king-sized bed with pocket sprung mattress and Egyptian cotton bed linen to appreciate them from. The ensuite bathroom has a large shower unit, basin and w.c. Bath robes are provided to add an extra touch of luxury, and guests will enjoy ample storage space for their belongings, allowing you to unpack and truly settle in.

From Shuna Apartment, you can follow the garden path alongside the lawn of Ulva House and Columba Apartment down to Tobermory harbour front, just a five-minute walk away. Tobermory has many excellent places to eat, and shops to browse, as well as boat trips to see Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, or to venture out whale watching. Ferries can also be taken to Ardnamurchan with its lighthouse, which is the most westerly on mainland Scotland.

There are fantastic walks from Tobermory (see our walking page). One coastal path leads to Aros Park, a maintained park with many trails exploring mature woodlands and waterfalls. Tobermory also has an arts centre (An Tobar), a theatre (Druimfin), and a golf course that visitors will enjoy.

Heading west from Tobermory, you reach the white sands of Calgary Bay, which is one of Mull’s most famous beaches. Mull’s north-west coast can also be explored with good opportunities to see wildlife in this area. You can also visit the Isle of Ulva as a great day trip, or head along the shore of Loch na Keal, where you can take in great views of Mull’s highest mountain Ben More.

Luxury 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen and goose down duvet and pillow (non-allergic duvets and pillows available, by request). Dual control electric blanket. Soft towelling robes and mules are also provided for guests. Hair dryer provided.

Bathroom: The ensuite bathroom has a large shower unit with Mira shower. Underfloor heating.

Garden: Please note there is no garden area for guests staying in Shuna Apartment. There is a path at the bottom of the Ulva House garden which starts the walk down to the harbour.

Heating: Electric storage heaters in the living area. Underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom.

Bed Linen and Towels: Excellent quality bed linen and towels are provided for guests as well as towelling robes and mules.
