We booked prairie cottage for a last minute short break. Both Carol and the booking agent could not have been more helpful. The cottage was absolutely spotless and really cosy. Ideal location for exploring the island.

Beautiful clean comfortable cottage in a great location. The cottage has all the amenities needed, with fresh eggs, flowers and biscuits as a welcome gift. We could have happily stayed here longer.

Immaculate, well-equipped cottage with flowers, free range eggs and biscuits on arrival. Carol, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. A perfect quiet location, between Salen and Tobermory, with lovely walks just outside the front door. We absolutely fell in love with Mull and will return to Prairie Cottage in a heartbeat.

Beautiful, well-equipped cottage in an ideal location, offering both peace and quiet as well as easy access to Tobermory and Craignure. The little extras provided by Carol for our arrival were greatly appreciated. Overall, the property had everything for a first-class stay.

We have been visiting Mull for the last 15 years and can without doubt say this is the best property we have stayed in, it has everything you could need, its comfortable, spotlessly clean, and is perfectly located for travelling around the island. Perfect! What more could you ask for.

Easily the best UK holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, equipped with absolutely everything a person could possibly need, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful host on hand if needed but not intrusive and brilliant location for exploring Mull. Woodland walks directly across the road (great for morning power walks), Sound of Mull with water birds 5 minutes walk, local amenities in Salen (including fish & chips from Tastes of Mull), short drive from Tobermory. Absolutely nothing not to like. Highly recommend.

Simply perfect. Cosy very well equipped cottage in excellent location to explore the island and it’s wonderful wildlife. Dippers in the river at the bottom of the lane and eagles flying overhead. The Milky Way in a cloudless sky. We would love to return. Magical!

Prairie Cottage is centrally located to visit all areas of Mull. A beautifully clean, well kept cottage. The owner is helpful, on hand next door if required, but not at all intrusive. Ideal for a couple, or with two children. We enjoyed excellent weather, but would choose this out of season as it would evidently be very cosy and has a porch area ideal for drying boots and walking gear.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was cosy, quiet and had everything we needed for our week of exploring Mull.
Carol was a welcoming host and left delicious fresh eggs for us.
The bedroom upstairs could have a bigger bed considering how spacious the room was. We ended up sleeping in separate rooms.
Otherwise, a very pleasant stay.

Just returned from a fantastic week at Prairie Cottage. The location was perfect for us allowing to easily reach Tobermory, Ben More and all the other sights Mull has to offer. Carol made us feel very welcome and the cottage has everything you need. There isn’t anything Carol hasn’t thought about, making it truly a home away from home.

This is one of the best cottages we’ve stayed in, very clean, well equipped and warm and cosy. Carol is very welcoming and helpful, and the welcome gifts were lovely and very much appreciated. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting all of the island . Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Well equipped, clean, lovely cottage in a great location for walking out to Aros or over into the Loch Frisa forestry area. It was very warm and the shower is fab. Parking area and really nice inside. We had a great week - it was fairly wet so can't really comment on the outdoor bench/ sitting outside! Would absolutely go back.

Had a lovely relaxing stay at Prairie Cottage. It is immaculate and well-equipped for home comfort. Lovely welcome gifts of flowers, fresh eggs, and biscuits & and Carol was available and helpful during our stay.
The cottage is well located for exploring all parts of the Island, which we did. We loved Mull so much, my highlight was seeing a Golden Eagle, and we will definitely return - it is a magnificent and beautiful place, and was the perfect family time and rest.

A lovely, well equipped (and warm) cottage. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter as Mull is still beautiful in the rain. Thank you Carol; and thank you for the eggs - they were so good we bought some to take home!

Great location for a fantastic cottage. We had a lovely holiday despite the weather! Really good walks direct from the cottage and easy to get to all areas of Mull. Thanks to Carol for the eggs and biscuits and the chickens were entertaining too! Great value for money, we will definitely be back!

Incredible cottage well located in the middle of the island. Excellent heating kept us cosy and cottage was spotlessly clean. Welcome gift of Island Bakery biscuits and eggs from the chickens very much appreciated!

What a lovely cottage, cosy and warm and so homely. It had everything we needed for our short winter break on Mull and I imagine it would be perfect for a family too, lots of room for safe outdoor play in the summer. It was just perfect, and in great location for exploring the island. No view to speak off but a only a walk away from the river estuary, Aros Castle and Loch Frisa so it didn't matter. This lovely cozy cottage is in a fabulous location, making trips around the island a breeze. The cottage is a new build, but done sympathetically so it blends with the style of the island, however it benefits from excellent modern insulation and heating. We had a very wet and windy week on Mull, but always looked forward to returning to the cottage with its wood burning stove and a hot bath, plus a good area for drying wet clothes. It is well equipped with kitchen utensils and the cooker is easy to use. Carol made us feel very welcome without being intrusive, and the hens were great fun. The birdlife immediately around the cottage is incredible....hen harriers, a sparrowhawk perching on the fence, treecreepers, goldcrests, swallows nesting......it was delightful. Thoroughly recommended.

A great cottage that is very well equipped and well located, very comfortable beds so got a great nights sleep after some very busy days exploring the island. it was nice to see so much birdlife around the cottage with house martins nesting in the eaves.

A wonderful cottage in a great location for exploring Mull. Warm, well equipped and spotless, three days wasn't enough. Plenty of otter sightings, a couple of pairs of eagles spotted, and great northern divers galore.

A friendly welcome to a neat and cosy cottage with everything you might need. A great location if you want to be relatively close to amenities but not too far away from anywhere you’d like to explore - Iona ferry is just over an hour with otters, stags and seals on the way. Highly recommended : )
