The Tenancy Agreement

The tenancy gives the Tenants the right to occupy the property for a holiday within the meaning of paragraph 8 or schedule 4 to the Housing (Scotland) Act 1998. Properties are let for a maximum of 4 weeks. Lettings commence at 4pm on the first day of the tenancy and end at 10am on the departure date unless otherwise agreed. The tenancy period cannot be extended without the Estate’s permission. Tenants will be liable for any cost whatsoever incurred as a result of an unauthorised extension.

Payments

One half of the total rent, payable at the time of the booking is held as a deposit which is refundable up until six weeks prior to the commencement of the period of hire. The other half is entirely non-refundable. If the full balance of rent is not received by the due date, the Estate is entitled to cancel the booking.

Please note the Estate does not operate a holiday insurance scheme. The Tenant is therefore advised to purchase suitable holiday cancellation protection cover.

Any charges imposed on the Estate by their bank for handling dishonoured cheques will be passed on to the hirer who is liable to reimburse the Estate in respect of these charges within seven days of notification from the Estate.
