We've just enjoyed another wonderful stay at the superb Tigh na Sealgair. The wonderful holiday home has it all. Excellent kitchen equipment. Comfortable lounge furniture and beds. The views from the lounge windows overlooking Lochdon and the surrounding hills change from minute to minute. We've booked again for next year. Thanks Jacqueline

We stayed at Tigh na Sealgair from 1st-8th March 24. The cottage is in an excellent location for travelling about and after a long journey very easy to get to from the ferry at Craignure. The views over Loch Don from the living room are stunning and the wildlife was abundant. There has been decking installed to the front which is fabulous. The house itself is of a very high standard. It feels extremely clean and warm on arrival. The kitchen is an absolute dream, there is everything you could think of equipment and utensil wise. We would book this house again without a second thought.

We’ve had a lovely stay in the cottage, it’s located in a very good place. The cottage is very well thought out, clean and comfortable, it also has everything that you need especially in the kitchen. The views are outstanding and loved seeing the buzzard that came every morning to sit on the pole. We would have loved to book again for next year but unfortunately it’s fully booked will try again for 2025. Would highly recommend this property.

We had a great 2 weeks here. The setting was lovely with so much seen from the windows of the lounge. The cottage was very comfortable with everything that we could need for an enjoyable holiday. The nearly daily view of buzzard sitting on the telegraph post out side the lounge window to sightings of whitetailed eagle flying over the loch, red deer walking out to the island and the many birds on the feeders made it a great holiday. This is most probably our last visit to Mull and it did not disappoint - Golden eagles, and 8 otters other the 2 weeks. We will miss it.

We had a great week in the cottage which is in a wonderful location. The cottage was very clean, and comfortable. Some really nice walks from the doorstep and plenty of wildlife to be seen from the cottage windows. We loved it so much, we have booked again for next year!

We loved our stay here. The house is spotless and very well equipped, with a good-sized sitting room and kitchen, and cosy bedrooms with comfortable beds and nice bedlinen. We loved the location - a short and easy drive from the ferry and local shops, but on a quiet road with virtually no traffic, and a lovely view over the loch. The kitchen has every utensil and appliance you could want, and a terrific set of very sharp knives! Would definitely recommend.

Very easy to give another 5 star review for this beautiful place. Our 2nd stay here and already looking forward to returning in 2024.
Tigh na Sealgair has absolutely everything you could possibly need & when you add the stunning view across Loch Don, it’s difficult to find a better place to stay on Mull.
Thought we’d brought plenty of bird seed for all the wonderful garden visitors, but they cleaned us out!

Beautifully appointed , excellently equipped & spotlessly clean bungalow, in a great peaceful location with fabulous views over Loch Don.
Lots of lovely local wildlife, including 2 deers swimming across the loch each day to graze on the shore directly in front of the garden.. Loved the non stop flow of birds to the bird feeders too..
We would recommend Tigh na Sealgair most strongly & hope to return to stay again sometime.

    Wow, just wow.
What a fabulous bungalow. Immaculately presented, equipped to a high standard and beautifully quiet as very little passing traffic with a fabulous outlook onto the tidal loch, with a really safe garden for our dogs.
We loved spending mornings sitting in the lounge admiring the view, then later exploring this wonderful island (which we now refer to as our second home).
We are working dates now to book a return next year which really says it all. Highly recommended and thank you for a lovely holiday.

We have been self catering for many years and this was by far the best cottage that we have stayed in. The views over the loch from the lounge window were fabulous, great for bird watching too. Loads of local walks for our border collie so everyone was happy. To cap it all we had a week of great weather!

Had a fantastic week at Tigh na Sealgair with our son & 2 dogs. Location was great, a 5 minute drive from the Craignure Ferry to a bungalow with amazing views of the Loch and beyond. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we could want. A great spot for wildlife watching too. Couldn't recommend enough!

Bring plenty of birdseed and you’ll enjoy lots of garden visitors. Icing on the cake - the ‘Duart Castle’ pair of white-tail eagles nesting just around the corner!

It's difficult to say anything that's not been said in previous reviews. Exceptionally well appointed modern bungalow, fantastically clean, no unnecessary frills, everything you need is there. We've been staying
in Lochdon almost every year for the past 34 years and never tire of the location, especially for the wildlife. Our previous accommodation is no longer available so we booked Tigh Na Sealgair and were delighted. We tried to book for next year straight away, but it's already fully booked. But we shall look out for cancellations and with any luck we'll soon be back. Perfect!

Very well appointed, comfortably furnished, clean & spacious accommodation in a perfect location.
The double bed in the main bedroom does however feel like a tight squeeze if you are more used to a king / super king sized arrangement, but there is the option of 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom if you are a party of two.

Wounderful cottage in a great location. Very well equipped and presented. Double bed was too soft for us and felt small , as we are used to a king. Bathrooms were great, loved the shower.
View is amazing. Good access to shops and cafe’s being only 10 mins from Craignure. Would definitely use it again. Good WiFi, a definite plus point. Wonderful wildlife seen from the cottage.

Fabulous cottage in a great location, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The views from the lounge are amazing. Dog walks straight from your door. What more can you want, apart from a king size bed which would have given it 5 stars! !

We are been holidaying on the wonderful Island of Mull and various other Scottish Islands since 1996; however this is our first time staying at Tigh na Sealgair, and can fully understand why its booked out a full season ahead. We've already booked for next year, and cannot think of enough superlatives to do justice to this wonderful home from home. See you next year

This is a lovely cottage with fantastic views across the loch. It was also very clean, warm and peaceful. This is an ideal location for exploring the island and viewing wildlife. Steve was very helpful in pointing out places to visit as well as where to spot wildlife. This was our first visit to Mull and we hope to book this cottage again in the not too distant future.

Fantastic! Our second stay at this delightful cottage in 2019. It feels so homely, and we never want to leave at the end of our visit. We never want for anything and it is always spotlessly clean. The views are a delight to wake up to every morning, and there is so much wildlife to see in the immediate area. Can't wait to return next year. Thank you so much.

Cannot believe that this fantastic cottage, that is always booked out a full season in advance, has only had 8 guest reviews before now (guests must not want to share with others how good this cottage is!)
We are regular visitors to Mull but this was our first time staying at Lochdon (won’t be our last)
Great location for exploring all of the island and the wildlife is abundant and often right in front of the window.
A very well furnished property but I can reveal “straight from the horses mouth” that the family bathroom is being upgraded at the end of this year

Great place so clean and fresh and very well furnished in modern style. Warm and comfortable with everything you could require. The views from front windows are spectacular of the Loch and wildlife. Our first visit last year to this cottage was wet and windy but this year we were lucky to get a good sunny week so the views were even more spectacular with the ever changing light. Thank you to Steve the caretaker for the extra care he went to , taking delivery and set up of the oxygen machine my sister required so she could enjoy this lovely cottage for the week.

Cottage itself contained every amenity you could ask for!

Beautiful cottage and location, really well appointed. Shame that the main bathroom lacks a stand up shower. Our guest had to shower in our en-suite as the 'sit down' shower arrangement in the main bathroom was wholly inappropriate. Don't arrive early hoping that the Janitor might let you stow your bags in the cottage while you drive to Tobermorey to do your grocery shopping, so as to return at 4pm fully provisioned for the week, he wont!

Editor's Note: Thank you for your feedback. There is a photo of the main bathroom on our website so unsure as to why you were surprised by the set up there? The caretaker can't always be around to let guests in prior to the arrival time sorry.
