Two of the most popular routes up begin from the scenic shores of Loch na Keal. One of these routes takes on a more challenging ascent first up Beinn Fada and then along the A&#8217;Chioch ridge pictured here behind Meg, the collie. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isleofmullcottages.com\/cottage\/derryguaig-smiddy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Derryguiag Smiddy<\/a> makes the perfect cottage base camp.<\/p>\n<p>On a clear day, the views from the top are outstanding, but always come prepared. The weather changes rapidly on Mull and you&#8217;ll often find Ben More&#8217;s head in the clouds. They&#8217;re best seen before the bracken gets too high and shields them from view. In fact, you can take in panoramic vistas of Mull&#8217;s hills and peaks from sea level. In fact, you can even stay at a cottage on your own small peninsula over Loch Scridain &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isleofmullcottages.com\/cottage\/ardchrishnish.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ardchrishnish<\/a> is the one to book.<\/p>\n<p>But perhaps the most breath-taking peninsula of all is found at Ardmeanach.
