Portmore Place enjoys wonderful views over Tobermory seafront and Calve Island, and is in the ideal location for those wanting to stay in the heart of the village. The colourful buildings along the Main Street make Portmore Place easy to find.  Portmore Place is painted red, & is next door to the popular Mishnish Hotel & bar at the north end of the harbour. Built in 1850’s this historic building is an ideal base for your holiday, offering comfortable one or two bedroomed apartments, which are well equipped and tastefully furnished. All enjoy uninterrupted, panoramic views over the harbour from their living rooms and bedrooms.

 

Local Walks and Attractions

From Tobermory itself there's a walk to Rubha nan Gall lighthouse starting at one end of the harbour with a walk to Aros Park starting from the other. A short drive from Tobermory will take you to Glengorm Castle with walks around the grounds available there and forestry tracks en route.

In terms of things to do, you will be spoilt for choice in Tobermory. There's the golf course if you fancy a round, the arts centre for exhibitions and live music, shops and eateries for the daytime and evenings and the mull theatre is just a short drive out of town.

Several local businesses run boat trips from Tobermory in search of a host of marine life & sea birds and there are also a number of land based wildlife tours who start their day in Tobermory to help you explore Mull & search the best places to see eagles & otters.
