This is a spacious house with a great layout and is simply but comfortably furnished to suit its period.   The house has two sitting rooms, the largest of which is situated on the first floor with fantastic views across the water.

The Old Ferry House has a fascinating history being the last stop for cattle-drovers bringing their animals from the Hebridean isles to Mull.   The house also features in the film 'When Eight Bells Toll' starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, who stayed in the house during the making of the film.

The house's location makes it an excellent place spend time unwinding.  People enjoy crabbing and fishing off the pier and cooking their catch at the end of the day while watching the sunset on the mountains of the mainland.

Why not come and discover the delights of the Old Ferry House for yourself?

"a wonderful house in an amazing location"

"we have enjoyed watching the otters in the bay every evening and hope to return"

"it's hard to imagine a better place to spend a holiday together - enjoyed my morning swims!"

The Old Ferry House stands within its own garden right by the sea at the end of the Grasspoint peninsula with outstanding views across The Firth of Lorne to the Islands of Lismore and Kerrera and then to Ben Nevis and Glencoe on the mainland beyond.

The exceptional setting has to be seen to be believed. Grasspoint is renowned for being a superb place to observe wildlife with guests regularly seeing otters, birds of prey and occassionally dolphins and whales.  The coastline is perfect for a relaxing walk, an adventurous scamble or a spot of fishing.  A truly stunning place to spend a holiday.  There is a small sandy bay a few yards from the house - while for anyone with a boat, there is a stone jetty right on the doorstep.
