It has an arts centre and museum, and is a great place to base yourself for a holiday on Mull. A range of restaurants and shops are on your doorstep, but spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife are still only a few minutes walk or drive away. Stronbeag Cottage is located in upper Tobermory, not far from the Western Isles Hotel in a quiet residential part of the town. There is a childrens' play area just a short walk from the house.

Things to Do
From Tobermory itself there's a walk to Rubha nan Gall lighthouse starting at one end of the harbour with a walk to Aros Park starting from the other. Aros Park is an area of land maintained by the Forestry Commission and has a network of paths, numerous waterfalls, a small lochan and a couple of children's play areas to seek out.
A short drive from Tobermory will take you to Glengorm Castle with walks around the grounds available there and forestry tracks en route. There's the golf course if you fancy a round, the arts centre for exhibitions and live music, shops and eateries for the daytime and evenings and the mull theatre is just a short drive out of town.
Several local businesses run boat trips from Tobermory in search of a host of marine life and sea birds and there are also a number of land based wildlife tours who start their day in Tobermory to help you explore Mull and search for the best places to see eagles and otters. The marine harbour centre has some good displays about local marine life too.
