Ormsaig Cottage is situated on the Ross of Mull, a short drive from Bunessan. The Ross of Mull is the largest peninsula on the Isle of Mull, at around 17 miles long, and makes up the south-western part of the island. The region is well known for its low-lying rounded knolls of pink granite and beautiful sandy beaches. The village of Bunessan is a few miles from the house, with Fionnphort and the Iona ferry being just a couple more miles further on. At Bunessan there is also a local Spar shop, cafe and pub. The house is situated in a stunning elevated position just off the 'main road' in a delightful, countryside setting with the most fantastic views.

Things to Do
The Ross of Mull has a fantastic rugged coastline, beautiful white beaches, wildflowers, birdwatching and wildlife. The main villages are Bunessan and Fionnphort with smaller settlements including Ardtun, Camas, Carsaig, Knockan, Pennyghael and Uisken. There are many fine, white sandy beaches to visit in the area including those at Ardalanish, Uisken and Knockvologan.
At Fionnphort there are regular boat trips out to Iona, renowned for its tranquility and natural beauty, to Staffa with its basalt columns and Fingal's cave, and to the Treshnish islands - an archipelago of several small islands, with unique landscape and excellent birdlife.
