Things to Do
Every part of Mull has its attractions and this particular area is well suited to those wanting to experience a wonderfully picturesque location, fantastic beaches nearby and excellent marine and birdlife.
The nearby village of Fionnphort bustles with activity in the summer months with people heading out on boat trips to nearby islands and in search of marine life, as well as with people taking the regular passenger ferry to Iona to visit the famous Abbey, shops, cafes and beaches. The village of Bunessan also has a historical centre for those wanting to learn about the history of the island.
Walkers have plenty of choices along the north and south coasts of the Ross of Mull. There are deserted villages to explore, dramatic coastal cliffs and fossils to find, and beautiful white sandy bays to relax on. The flora and fauna as well as the birdlife and mammals found here are an attraction in their own right. Otters, deer, dolphins, feral goats and sea eagles being some of the favourites to discover.
