Glenaros Estate
The houses on the Glenaros estate are situated on the Eastern coast of Mull, just North of Salen in an ideal position for exploring the whole island. The rocky coastline with the ruined castle of Aros standing on a promontory where the river Aros meets the Sound of Mull, creates a truly stunning setting.
Location
The Estate is located above Aros Bridge, just beside the Craignure to Tobermory road. Glenaros is only 12 miles from Craignure, 7 miles from Fishnish, 8 miles from Tobermory and 1.5 miles from Salen.

The estate's main access road is just south of Aros Bridge, and gives access to all the cottages with the exception of Fonn Aline which has its own access road half a mile further east.
Local Walks and Attractions
Sea and river fishing may be enjoyed within easy reach of the cottages. Salmon, sea trout, brown trout and rainbow trout are all plentiful. The estate has fishing on the Aros River and up to two rods are available to let by the day.

There are many Historic and Archaelogical sites to be explored on the island generally, but an ancient track starts at the hill gate beside Kate's Cottage and leads past the fort and through the forest to the archaelogical site of Killiechronan on Loch na Keal.
Aros Castle ruins are a short walk away from the estate and are reputed to have been visited by Robert the Bruce. Other famous castles on Mull are Duart and Torosay. A narrow gauge railway links the ferry terminal of Craignure with Torosay castle.
