Craignure Bay House offers luxury, self catering accommodation on the Isle of Mull with stunning sea views. Owned by a descendent of the MacQuarrie's of Ulva
(famous for Lachlan MacQuarie, last Governor General of New South Wales commemorated at the MacQuarie mausoleum), this beautiful home offers all those little extras that will make your stay on Mull one to remember.
The house is situated at the north end of Craignure, overlooking the Sound of Mull and has been designed to make the most of the outlook. Guests can enjoy superb views towards Loch Linnhe, Sound of Mull, Ben Nevis and the Glencoe mountain ranges.
The house has been finished to a high standard and the bespoke kitchen with central island and large dining table is a great area for you to relax with family and friends. The spacious living room with high ceiling and large window offers excellent views. There is underfloor heating and a woodburning stove, making this a warm, comfortable home.
Both Tobermory and Iona are around a 45 minute drive from the house, which makes it a great base from which to explore all that Mull has to offer. Situated on the edge of Craignure, guests can easily walk to the local shop for essentials and to the Craignure Inn for a bar meal or to sample the local ale. The house is only a short walk to the swimming pool and spa at the Isle of Mull Hotel and a 10 minute drive from Duart Castle and its tearoom (also a great spot for sea fishing).
All of the bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and well furnished. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms; one twin with a cot and one double with a window/door which slides open to give views of the Sound of Mull. There is a shared family bathroom on this floor which has a shower cubicle.
A utility room with access to the garden is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Another feature on the ground floor is the small balcony area, accessed by sliding glass doors from the living room - a great place to have coffee in the morning.
The stairs lead to a light and airy landing and two further bedrooms, both with modern ensuite facilities. There is one double, again with a window/door which slides open to give views out over the Sound of Mull and a twin.
A path directly opposite the house leads along the rocky shoreline towards the Isle of Mull Hotel. The garden is fenced at the front (with a gate) to prevent access to the main road, but it is not fully enclosed.

Extras: Wi-Fi is installed, parking for 3 cars and outside seating and barbecue in the garden.
Child Friendly: There is a self fitting stair gate, cot and highchair in the house.
Linen: Linen and towels are provided for your stay.
Short breaks are available from November to February in this cottage - call to book - and a small group discount when there are less than four in your party
