You will pass Lismore lighthouse and Duart Castle on your approach to Craignure, where the Oban to Mull ferry terminates on the Isle of Mull. There are a number of attractions all within easy reach of Craignure. There are also a couple of places to eat, a few shops and the tourist information centre. Enjoy live music at the Craignure Inn, an evening meal at MacGregor's Roadhouse, or coffee and cakes at Arlene's.

Craignure Bay House is situated on the harbour front. As you come of the ferry, turn right towards Tobermory and the house is less than 100 metres away!

Local Walks and Attractions

Walk at Scallastle near CraignureCraignure Golf Course

There is a forestry walk at Scallastle just outside Craignure, and for hill walkers, 3 miles south of Craignure is Dun Da Ghaoithe, Mull's second highest mountain. The views are spectacular. There is an easy coastal walk from Garmony to Fishnish a short drive away up the coast.

The Isle of Mull Swimming Pool was opened in 2008, which is on the edge of Craignure at the Isle of Mull Hotel.  The pool is  a 16m x 6.5m semi-level deck pool with a small children’s paddling pool. There is also a spa, sauna, steam room and outdoor hot tub to be enjoyed as well as a small gym.

Craignure Golf Club built on flat to undulating machair ground is a complete contrast to the hilly Tobermory course. It is a nine hole course situated on the shore of Scallastle Bay, a mile and a half north of the ferry port at Craignure.
