Scoor Explore the area, things to do and more

The Pod is an ideal little bolthole for two people looking to explore a beautiful area of the Isle of Mull. This timber building is located on the Ross of Mull’s south coast at Scoor, an area that is renowned for its stunning coastline, beautiful beaches and wildlife galore!

Guests should be aware that the last two miles of road leading to The Pod is a stony, third-party farm track with some potholes rather than a modern surfaced road. It will need to be taken slowly and carefully, but it is fine for normal cars with reasonable clearance - you just need to take your time. The extra effort is rewarded by ending up in a truly magical setting. The Pod is located behind Ploughman's Cottage The two properties, although close to each other, are detached with separate driveways and are positioned in such a manner to avoid overlooking each other.

Inside, the Pod is a contemporary and homely space, warm and cosy with lots of natural light and big windows with great views over the surrounding area. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is well appointed and equipped for self-catering. There is also a desk area - ideal for sifting through the day's photographs at the end of each day, or for catching up with emails.

There are lots of little extra touches such as books about the local area, games to play and stylish furnishings and art work that give The Pod a character of its own. The bedroom area adjoins the main living area. There is ample built in storage for belongings and quality bed linen and towels are provided too. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, basin and w.c. the door way is screened off by a curtain to provide privacy.

The Pod is ideally suited to a couple or single wanting to explore this beautiful area of Mull, and stay in a compact yet welcoming and well-presented holiday let. A short walk from the Pod you can explore two fantastic beaches Kilvickeon and Traigh Bhan na Sgurra. Further secluded bays can be explored and there is a lovely walk to the old cottages at Shiaba that afford wonderful sea views over south Mull.

Bunessan is the closest village just over 10 minutes away with shops and eateries to enjoy. Fionnphort is a further 10 minutes on from Bunessan, and has more shops and eateries as well as being the jumping off point to explore Iona, or take a boat trip to the Treshnish Isle or Staffa.
