Shepherd's Cottage occupies an elevated and sunny position at Glen Aros and has commanding views over the sea and estuary and beyond to the hills of Morven. This Isle of Mull cottage is set in a private detached position reached by its own driveway with plenty of parking space.

There is a hallway and staircase ahead as you enter the property, on the left is the living room with a lovely open fire and excellent sea views from the window. The kitchen is on the opposite side of the hallway and is a light room with two windows and great sea views, a dining area and plenty of workspace. A corridor leads off the kitchen to the downstairs bedroom (a single), main bathroom and back porch which opens out to the back garden.

Upstairs is the main double and twin room, both with superb sea views. This holiday cottage on Mull is very popular with guests who return time and again. The front garden has a lovely lawned area with picnic bench for outdoor dining and outstanding views which take in the old ruin of Aros Castle, Aros river flowing into the sea, and the beautiful surrounding hillsides which are a patch work of open ground and deciduous woodland.

Some fine walks begin right from the cottage door, a hill track nearby leads to an iron age fort with stunning panoramic views. A short walk along the seashore can be followed up to the ruined castle, and offers good opportunities for otter sightings. The old track to the village of Salen (20 minute walk) has excellent sea views and follows a delightful route around the hill. By car, the island\'s main village of Tobermory is just 15 minutes away, where there is a good range of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. This is a very good central location for accessing all areas of the island.

Best to book this self catering cottage well in advance to avoid disappointment. Bed linen and towels can be provided at an additional charge of £15 per head (just fill in you requirements on the booking form).
