Glenaros House is a real gem of a place to stay and perfect for anyone looking for a large holiday house on Mull. Richly furnished and full of character, guests are often taken with the homely feel of this large property.

Situated in the centre of Mull, the house is accessed by a private drive and has wonderful views over open pastures and deciduous woodland to the sea in the Sound of Mull. The house has no passing traffic and as a result feels very tranquil, yet a hop in the car and Tobermory and a meal out are only 15 minutes away.

The spacious ground floor of this property includes a large hallway with a beautiful staircase leading upstairs. The kitchen opens onto a cosy study, and leads through to the conservatory which itself has a private outdoor paved dining area, and great views. The large formal dining room off the ground floor hallway, has a wow factor owing to the antique furniture and paintings.

On the first floor another sizeable landing give access to the large main living room which is a great room for family games and relaxing. The view toward the sea is super and the open fire make this a great place to unwind after a days exploring. There is also a large double bedroom, and a bathroom. The second floor has another bathroom with a stunning view, three twin rooms and another double. Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay.

Glenaros House was formerly known as Achadashenaig and has been in the current family's ownership since 1865. The house has some wonderful walks straight from the door; the loop up to the iron age fort rewards with great panoramic views and should not be missed. You can continue past the fort and through forest to Killiechronan and on to Loch na Keal. There is also the rocky coastline to explore close the house, with the ruined castle of Aros standing on a promontory nearby, where the river Aros meets the Sound of Mull. Go down in the evenings to look for otters.

The mature woodland sets the location of Glenaros House apart and the house and garden get the sun late into the evening on the long nights of early summer.
