Fernbank Cottage (Bruach Roineach) is a modern and well appointed Isle of Mull Cottage which has an excellent location at Calgary in Mull's north west corner. There are good walks from the house exploring the surrounds including a wooded trail to stunning Calgary beach.
Approaching the house, guests open a wooden gate to access the drive and garden area. There is ample off road parking outside the house. The outside space is gravelled with tended borders and has a wooden decking area with outdoor seating.
Entering the house, there is a boot room, utility room and a large hallway, as well as two spacious bedrooms, one twin and one double, each with views out over the hills and woodland that back Calgary beach. Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay. There is a large family bathroom also on the ground floor with bath and shower over, basin and w.c.
Upstairs is the main living accommodation. A spacious open plan area with great views from the large windows, make this a really fantastic area to relax in. There’s a wood burning stove, comfortable seating and there are two sets of doors leading onto balconies which are perfect for taking in the views of the beautiful surrounding countryside.
The dining area is a bright space with ample seating and space for six people and the open plan kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday.
Also off the main living area is a hall leading to the double bedroom and bathroom with a bath and shower over, basin and w.c. A second hallway provides access to the upstairs toilet with handbasin and also provides a space in which to hang coats and boots. This area leads outside to a wooden walkway, a really unique feature of the house.
This is a very well kept property, in a peaceful countryside setting with fantastic walking opportunities available from the doorstep. Just down the road there is the tearoom and gallery at Calgary Art in Nature and there are a couple of options for evening meals within a ten minute drive of the house. The village of Dervaig (ten minutes away) has an excellent village shop and a pub serving food. Tobermory, with all its amenities, shops and restaurants is only a twenty five minute drive away.

Kitchen and Dining Area: The kitchen has a kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave, electric oven and hob and dishwasher. The dining table seats six in comfort. Separate utility room with washing machine and dryer. Small freezer (50 litres).
Bedrooms: Two double bedrooms with standard sized beds, one on the ground floor, one upstairs. One twin bedroom on the ground floor.
Bathroom: A family bathroom on the ground floor (to service a double and twin room) with bath (shower over), basin and w.c. Upstairs there is a bathroom next door to the double bedroom with the same facilities. There is also a separate w.c. on the first floor. All bedrooms have hairdryers.
Garden: The outside area is mainly gravelled with a wooden decking area with picnic bench and planted borders. Shared access with the neighbouring property. Parking by house on driveway.
Heating: The house has central heating.
