A very comfortable base for our holiday on Mull. All the little details like soaps and thick towels. The kitchen had everything you needed equipment wise, and the property was easy to find. All the information left for us was great and the owners were super helpful with our late arrival. would be delighted to stay again.

Fabulous, comfortable cottage. Perfectly situated for visiting Mull. Walk over road to the shore of the Sound of Mull, lots of birds and wildlife. Mull Charters great to see White tailed eagles. Owls at cottage so pretty. Chickens and dogs at property were wonderful. Would totally recommend.

Beautiful well equipped cottage ideally situated for exploring the island. Views across the bay were excellent to wake up. Excellent meals were had at Am Birlinn and Isle of Mull Hotel. The boat trip to Staffa was definitely worth it for the puffins and Fingal’s Cave. Thank you to Ambrose and Shona who were friendly and always willing to give recommendations for food and wildlife spotting. Had amazing weather and would be happy to return to this wonderful cottage soon. Owls, ducks and chickens were added bonus.

A lovely cottage with the amenities as advertised. The animals and outside area are child friendly, and there is ample car parking space. Well situated for getting round the Island, and the location is right in front of the shoreline with a lovely view and walk along the beach. The observatory worked as an extra room. Perfect for a family holiday, the eldest of us being 84, and the youngest 20 months. Would love to come again. Thank you.

The cottage was in the perfect location... Close to Craignure, Tobermory and Salen. We were able to get around the island fairly easily with such a central location.
The cottage itself was of a very high standard, extremely clean with excellent amenities.
There were 6 of us adults and we found it to be a perfect size with plenty of seating, a real home from home. We had 2 cars and there is plenty of parking and a lovely outside space.
A Spar shop and Coffee Shop (Coffee Pot) located just along the road in Salen and we enjoyed a meal at the Mull Spa Hotel near Craignure. Thoroughly recommend.

A really lovely cottage. The kids really enjoyed being able to pop over the road and go shell collecting along the shoreline. The owls were a real hit too and Ambrose & Shona couldn’t have been more nicer and took their time chatting with the the children and answering all their questions! Great location close to the ferry too

Daisy cottage is a wonderful holiday home which accommodated our family of 4 perfectly during our 2 week-long-touring-the-island holiday. It is in an ideal location for exploring all parts of Mull, close to the road between Salem and Craignure from which you can access both south and north of the island easily. In addition, both villages have stores so one can fetch all essentials on the way back to the cottage without a need to add more miles to your journey back! We loved the space the cottage afforded and how cosy and welcoming it felt. It had everything we needed for comfortable stay.

The perfect place to stay, in an ideal location for exploring the rest of the island. The cottage was comfortable, cosy, and well equipped with everything we could want. Immaculately presented. Watching the rich variety birds visit the garden and on the bay across the (normally quiet) road was better than any TV. Ian and Jan were lovely, kind thoughtful and helpful hosts. Ian’s tips for the best spots to see wildlife worked every time. Fabulous stay, and perfect after 6 months lockdown.

A lovely, well equipped cottage that was warm and cosy; a real home from home. Excellently located for exploring the island or staying close by and taking in the nearby wildlife that was plentiful. We walked the Fishnish forest loop and along the beach. Salen is a few miles up the road where there is a great cafe and good quality eateries at Glenforsa (north) and Pennygate (Craignure, South).

Ian was very helpful and the cottage was extremely clean and comfortable.
Lovely welcome package including fresh eggs from the very friendly chickens.
We were rather disappointed with the position of the cottage though. Frim the photos we hadn't realised that the cottage was set back from the water. 2 rows of trees/bushes and a main road. We chose the cottage specifically for good beach and walks access for my parents and it was actually rather limited.
Highly recommend the cottage and the owner though.

Daisy cottage is a cosy, comfortable cottage, and we had a great stay there despite the awful weather! I really appreciated the environmental efforts Ian was making but I did not like the captive owls. i just do not see the attraction on any level.

By Paul McChrystal stayed in March 2019

Editor's Note: Owner's reply: Thanks for your review Paul and feedback on the owls. We shared your concerns when we first viewed Corry Meadows prior to buying it but when we learned about their history we agreed to take over their care pending a better arrangement. For one reason or another all 3 owls were bred in captivity before arriving at the Wings Over Mull sanctuary. Unfortunately Wings Over Mull had to close and Geoff, the previous owner, agreed to take over their care, rather than see them destroyed. Since we arrived we’ve investigated several options for re-homing them but, so far, have concluded that any benefits would be outweighed by the stress that would be involved in moving them. They can’t be released into the wild after all this time and, since they haven’t been handled for many years, if ever, they would end up sitting in cages somewhere else. We whole-heartedly share your sentiments about keeping wild animals in cages but, for the moment, we’re stumped!

Beautiful cottage in a great situation. Welcomed and shown around by Geoff the owner. Not only a cottage to enjoy but he and his wife Gulmira provide an observatory with a scope to watch the wildlife plus a craft/lab room to make use of. Everything you need was in the cottage and it's cosy and warm to go back to. Phone signal seemed to be poor on Mull for us but we got a signal for calls at the front of the cottage.
