Excellent week spent in a lovely cottage in an isolated and beautiful location. Iain was a great host who would do anything for his guests. The tranquil location is not to far from Salen and Dervaig which both have stores where you can replenish stocks. Cottage lovely, clean and homely which made our week more enjoyable. Plenty to do on Mull and Iona and we will definitely be back.

The cottage has been lovingly renovated and furnished with great attention to detail, making it a joy to 'inhabit' whilst on holiday - at once, practical, comfortable and pleasing to the eye. It is a million miles from the soul-less formulaic model so favoured these days. Ian is a gem - also not formulaic! We enjoyed exploring the north of the island, with memorable outings to Staffa and Ardnamurchan.

Brilliant stay at Achnacraig Cottage. Ian and Elizabeth are excellent hosts. Achnacraig is a beautiful cottage on a stunning location, with a nice, cosy, full equiped kitchen, lovely livingroom, two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. We had a wonderful week and we would recommend it to anyone who want to stay on the lovely, beautiful Isle of Mull. We were very Lucky to see losts of wonderful wildlife (for example, White Tailed Eagles, seals, red deers, ravens) and so many more.

We spent a wonderful week at Achnacraig. We have stayed in many different cottages on Mull over the years and this immediately became one of our favourites. The cottage is remarkably comfortable, and the kitchen is particularly well equipped. The exposed beams and farmhouse-style doors lend character and the woodburning stove makes for cosy evenings.
The owner, Ian, could not have been more friendly or helpful, and the cottage is ideally located in a beautiful spot between Dervaig and Salen. Ian really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, placing homegrown daffodils in the living room and leaving Mull treats and fresh milk in the kitchen. For all these reasons we could highly recommend this cottage and hope to return soon.

We had a lovely, relaxing week in this beautifully located, cosy cottage. We had everything we needed. The cottage is conveniently located for Salen, Dervaig and Tobermory but it is also possible to walk out directly from the cottage for lovely walks with views. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable and Ian was a friendly host. There was a wealth of information in the cottage about the island and we enjoyed the wood burner. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Achnacraig is a beautiful, comfortable and peaceful cottage with everything you need, set in a picturesque landscape. Ian, our host was very welcoming, helpful and a good source of knowledge on where to go. This location is a good base for local walks and for excursions around the island. Internet access is good, do top up on fuel and provisions when out and about.

Well appointed and very comfortable cottage in a quiet location but with access by car to coastal walks and wild life in most directions. Owner Ian was there to welcome and introduce us to the cottage and surroundings and laid on a glorious week of sunshine!

We had a very pleasant stay in a very cosy cottage. Ian was a good and helpful host particularly when we nearly ran out of petrol on our first night (take note petrol stations may not be as plentiful or open as long as you are used to). Most of the time the weather was cold but mainly dry so we enjoyed lighting the log burning stove every night. Ian was informative about island life and places to go. Good trip on Mull Charters to see the sea eagles. Would go again.

Excellent, well appointed cottage on the Salen to Dervaig road. Ian and Elizabeth are great hosts, and happy to help you make the most of your holiday. Great position, balancing a quiet location, within reach of Calgary, Dervaig and Tobermory. A car is essential (as it would be anywhere on Mull) but lots to explore both locally and further afield. I would recommend Calgary sculpture walk and Am Birlinn restaurant. Ian provides a helpful book of things to do, local services, and walks in the cottage. We will no doubt visit again!

Very comfortable and serene cottage in beautiful surroundings. Ian was so courteous and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was provided that you could possibly need. It is so quiet you can easily oversleep and the bed is so comfy. The cottage is also central for getting about on the beautiful island of Mull. We have no hesitation of recommending Ian and Elizabeth's lovely cottage and will certainly return again.

We enjoyed a splendid week at Achnacraig in Ian and Elizabeth's comfortable and well appointed cottage. Ian offered a great deal of help and information, always concerned as to our well-being; we were kindly encouraged to make use of their personal terrace for an evening drink. We would love to think we might revisit at some time. Thank you.
